Application process

Interested in what you can expect when applying for a position with MVM? Here is a quick run-down of key need-to-know items:

1. Fill out the application ⟶

Check out our job postings; you can search our openings by location, full time, part time or paid internships.

Tip – To make your application stand out:

Check your resume and make sure your resume shows your experience so our recruiting professionals can match your skills with the job you applied to.

Describe the duties associated with your previous jobs, including key tasks performed.

Include dates for previous employment in MM/DD/YYYY – MM/DD/YYYY format.

Provide the average number of hours worked per week for each of your previous jobs.

2. Scheduling interview ⟶

A member of our recruitment team will review your resume to see if there is a match to the position that you applied for and will reach out to you via email, phone, or text to schedule a phone or video interview. Be sure to check your email regularly and your spam folder; sometimes our emails will end up in your spam folder due to your settings on your email account.

3. Be prepared for the video interview ⟶

  • Find a quiet, private, well-lit place, free from possible interruptions.
  • Ensure your internet or mobile connection is stable.
  • Check that your computer’s/mobile device’s audio and webcam is working.
  • Close any unnecessary web browser tabs and applications.
  • Dress professionally and avoid bright colors.
  • Have a pen, notepad and copy of your resume available to discuss your work history and experience.
  • When listening, nod and smile to show you are engaged.
  • Avoid distractions.

4. Next steps after interview ⟶

The recruitment professional will review your notes with our hiring team and will follow up with you regarding next steps. Be on the lookout for emails, phone calls or text messages from our team.

5. Assessment, background checks, security clearance, and drug testing ⟶

Depending on the position for which you are being considered, you may have to undergo position-specific assessments during the hiring process, such as a language test or physical exam. If applicable, your recruiter will provide you with more details on any pre-hire assessments that may be required of you.

Please keep in mind – Security clearance screening takes an average of 3 months to complete, but the process can vary anywhere from 2 weeks to a year – depending on the level of security clearance required for the position and a variety of other factors. For most positions requiring a clearance, an employee cannot start until a clearance has been received.

MVM is a drug-free workplace; therefore, the last step in the hiring process for all potential new hires is a drug test. Once you’ve successfully passed the drug test, then you will officially become a member of the MVM team.

We know that as a prospective MVM applicant, you may have a lot of questions about MVM and what it takes to join our team. Below are some of the most popular questions that applicants like you ask us on a regular basis. If you have a question that isn’t addressed below or elsewhere in the Careers section, let us know!

1. Do all your positions require a security clearance? ⟶

Not all, but many of our contracts do require that the personnel we provide have some type of clearance or government suitability determination.

2. Does MVM provide benefits? ⟶

MVM provides a competitive benefits package to its employees. Your benefits will vary based on your assigned contract and position, but may include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(K), employee assistance, and life insurance.

3. How do I find out about the status of my application? ⟶

To get the most up-to-date information on the status of your application, log onto your candidate homepage. You can do this by going to our job postings page and selecting “Sign In” in the upper-right hand portion of the screen. Be sure to use the same email address and password that you used when you submitted your application. Due to the high volume of applications received, the Recruiting Department will only contact you directly should you be selected to advance in our application process.

4. What is MVM’s application process like? ⟶

At minimum, all applicants undergo a thorough qualifications review, at least one interview, and a drug test. Depending on the position, your application process may also include an entrance exam, security clearance, and medical examination.

5. Can I apply to more than one position? ⟶

Yes – you may apply for any position for which you meet the minimum qualifications.

6. I’m having trouble logging back into my applicant home page. Who should I contact? ⟶
