MVM, Inc. has been awarded a new $24 million contract with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to provide both security and facilities operations services at the Aguadilla Service Processing Center (SPC). ICE’s selection of MVM, following a competitive solicitation process, is the first of its kind to grant a contractor total operational responsibility over an ICE detention facility.

Under the terms of the new ICE contract, MVM will be responsible for provide approximately 100 trained detention officers to ensure the safety and security of ICE’s Aguadilla SPC facility in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. MVM will also provide officers for prisoner transport services throughout the territory. Added to these security functions will be the new responsibility for providing detainee life support and facility operations services. These services include providing detainees with food and laundry services, ensuring proper grounds keeping, as well as providing maintenance in areas such as the HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems. This new contract illustrates MVM’s ability to provide a wide range of ancillary functions to compliment its strengths in traditional detention and law enforcement support services.

MVM has provided security services, including detention and prisoner transport services, to ICE in the Aguadilla SPC since October 2004. MVM is the largest private security contractor operating in Puerto Rico, and a major provider of security services to federal law enforcement agencies, including ICE. In addition to the detention services contract in Puerto Rico, MVM also performs security services at the ICE San Pedro SPC in San Pedro, CA.
