MVM Hosts Annual Leadership Conference

For the past several years, MVM has hosted the annual Project Manager’s Leadership Conference to provide Project Managers and other company leaders with an overview of MVM’s goals for the year and an opportunity to discuss important issues with members of the corporate staff. While the Leadership Conference Committee has strived to maintain these essential elements of the annual conference, the conference took on a new look for 2007. The theme "Bridge to the Future" focused on Leadership at all levels and across all divisions of MVM and was held at the corporate headquarters in Vienna, Virginia on April 24 – 26, 2007. Conference participants attended presentations, including Mr. Marquez’s address on the state of MVM and vision for the future, and engaged in break-out sessions led by various members of MVM’s corporate staff. |

The Leadership Conference also featured a problem-solving competition that culminated in a presentation to MVM’s senior staff. The goal of this exercise was to establish some friendly competition while providing participants with an opportunity to further develop their problem-solving skills. Participants were provided real examples of business problems and were asked to develop logical, cost-effective solutions. The activity was well received and some excellent ideas were generated. To top off the 3-day conference, the Leadership Conference Committee planned some very exciting evening socials, including a cocktail reception, a dinner cruise, and a fun filled International theme "Block Party" that was hosted by the corporate office staff. |

The conference was very informative and was beneficial to all attendees. It provided a venue for the exchange of ideas, an opportunity to learn about MVM, and fun events to create and renew professional relationships. |
